Online Mobile Sector flooding the market

The largest Internet population utilizing mobile technology is Japan. The Japanese love their hand-helds so much so that 90% of all Japanese have a cell phone and 4 out of 10 surf the Internet with their phone.

As Internet Marketers we need to take notice to this niche.
Holding title to the number 2 spot for the worlds largest economy and the 10th largest population the Japanese influence on global markets is significant.
It's time to take notice if you haven't already. It is estimated that more than 89 million Japanese used the Internet in 2007. 9 out of 10 Japanese under the age of 40 are already online which means there is a lot of revenue to be harvested.
Social Networking.

Currently 37% of adult and more than 70% of teen Internet users engage in social networking activities every month.

Projections show that by 2011 half of online adults and more than 85% of online teenagers will be utilizing the social networking platform in the US.
Social networking is still in it's infancy and marketing experts are dumping an estimated $1.6 billion this year in advertising as they experiment with various platforms.

2008 will prove to be a big spending year with a projected $2.1 billion being spent on advertising world wide which is up from $1.3 billion in 2007.
Worldwide, online social network ad spending is expected to grow by 81%, to $2.2 billion in 2008 from $1.2 billion this year.

The flood gates will open for advertising dollars if the Social Network model continues to deliver the peer recommendation.
